Surly Brewing Co to Reopen Beer Hall and Beer Garden
It s been a minute. There are so many places that have had to go dark and shut down due to the pandemic. Some restaurants and bars remained closed even though they were allowed to open with limited capacity. Saying that it just didn t make sense to open yet .

Surly has remained closed since November when the last shut down happened before Thanksgiving. Now, the plan is to reopen the beer hall and beer garden by June 1.

When Surly closed indefinitely last November, it put about 150 people out of work. They have a beer hall that has about 350 seats, and then the extra space on the second floor that is a pizzeria. All together, they have a capacity for about 1800 people. Back in September, their sales were down about 82% owner Omar Ansari told the Star Tribune.

+ March 17, 2021 THE Provincial Government of Bulacan has ordered a month-long curfew and liquor ban starting Wednesday, March 17, 2021, in light of increasing coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) cases.
Under Executive Order No. 8, series of 2020 signed by Bulacan Governor Daniel Fernando, the curfew will be from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. and the sale, transport and consumption of liquor and other intoxicating beverages are prohibited in both public and private places until April 17, 2021.
Those in need of emergency services and workers in permitted industries are exempted from the curfew provided that they can provide sufficient proof of their identification and work schedules.
Fernando said border quarantine checkpoints must be established especially in the critical areas of the province in order to contain the spread of the virus.

DENVER â On March 16, 2020, Gov. Jared Polis, issued an order, at the advice of public health officials, that would have a lasting impact on the restaurant and bar industry. Effective immediately, the state of Colorado and I are ordering temporary suspension for 30 days, again, renewable, of dine-in services at restaurants and bars, he said at a press conference.
The order went into effect the following morning. That temporary suspension would last for more than two months before Polis allowed restaurants to reopen at 50% capacity on May 27, 2020. Before, they could operate only through pickup and delivery.
